.:. AAP .:.
.:. What is AAP? .:.
AAP stands for Anti Anti Pokemon. I'm sure that you know about the Pokemon Haters. They are anti-pokemon. So, we are anti-anti-pokemon. This is just how we can react to the pokemon haters. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. It says so in`the Constitution. So, I don't bother Pokemon haters, and most of the Pokemon fanbase doesn't either. However, they flame our sites, make fun of us, etc.
.:. My Personal Experiences .:.
Yes, I have had some personal experiences with people making fun of me for liking Pokemon. My friends have, also. I will tell you all of mine that I can remember, and some of my friends' as well.
-I was in fourth grade. I had decorated my book-bag with a marker.I had drawn Pokemon, and written "TEAM RANGO" all over it. My teacher asked me what it was. Only a few people knew about it. I collected my courage, and (Yes, I know this is stupid) instead of just telling the teacher, I turned around in my seat, and told everyone about Team Rango, and what it was. Almost everyone laughed at me for liking Pokemon.
-In fifth grade, I brought all of my EX and Lv. X Pokemon cards to school, and show off to my friends (the ones who still liked Pokemon). I tried to be extra careful not to let anyone see them other than my friends who liked Pokemon. If forget how, but a few boys got into the cards, and I was made fun of for about a week. They probably would've went on making fun of me, but I pretty much went off. No, I didn't get into a fight, but I yelled at them like a mad man XD.
-In the summer of '09 (I was in 6th grade), I had just got a new video camera called the Flip Ultra. The first video I did with it was a Pokemon card opening video. I had it saved on the camera, and went to visit my step brother. My step brother hates Pokemon, and when I ask him why, he can never think of a good reason (because there are none). I went up there, and his cousin was there. We made a comedy video with the camera called "Crazy Drunks". We were watching it, and I accidentally played my card opening video. They made fun of me, but I just ignored it. After about 2 or 3 minutes, they stopped.
.:. What We Can Do .:.
To fight against The Pokemon Haters, all we have to do is... nothing. If they flame your site, ignore them. If they do it frequently, ban them. It's that simple. If you flame them back, you are just taking away from the time that you could be improving on your website, or do something productive. If they flame you, they are just making their lives worse by not doing anything productive. The only reason they flame you, most likely, is so they can see your reaction and how much you hate it. If you show no reaction, it will ruin their fun, and they will stop. It's a lot like bullying, actually.
OPINION: Even though you may just want to absolutely beat someone for hating on Pokemon because it is "gay" or "babyish" you should try to hold yourself back! Like I already said, just ignore it, or you are just as bad as them!
